Naman, a young artist at heart

As I was exploring the vibrant farm of K J Somaiya English Medium School I was amazed by the plethora of crops the 8th graders are cultivating by ensuring an environment-friendly approach. But amidst the bustling kitchen garden, something unique and extraordinary caught my eye. While the team of young farmers tended to their crops and shared chronicles of their farming activity, this particular young boy stood out. Despite all the chatter and laughter, he was engrossed in his work. His name was Naman, a young artist at heart who found joy in working with art and craft. Instead of joining his peers in planting and watering, Naman had taken it upon himself to construct a fence around the farm, using nothing but a stack of carefully balanced stones. The aesthetically crafted fence encircling the farm reminds us of the beauty that can be found in the simplest of tasks. This is one of many testaments that prompt us towards the talent, creativity and mastery that flourishes at K J Somaiya English Medium School, Sameerwadi.

When approached and inquired about his remarkable endeavor, Naman humbly replied, "Oh, it's not just me working on the fence. It's a team effort." With a modest smile, he continued, "During my free hours, I've been dedicating my time to this project, and I'm fortunate to have friends who are willing to lend a hand." Yet in his modesty, I could see the immense joy and pride, he took in the minimalist craft and his passion was evident through every stone he placed.  Observing the determination and fervor of this young architect, Naman, whose name translates to "bow down," isn't it exactly what we're going to do?

“Duh!! Take a bow”- Because it's an absolute wonder of craftsmanship that I witnessed.
